Hebrew School Rules & Policies

Morning services start promptly at 9:00 AM and are part of the school curriculum. Attendance is required at these services and count toward the child’s Hebrew school education.

Regular attendance is required. Six(6) unexcused absences are allowed for the year.   Excessive absences will result in a hindrance of their Hebrew studies and could prevent a promotion.

Students are required to keep up with their lessons. Missed assignments and classwork must be completed.

Check student folders. Located in the the Temple lobby. This is where you will receive monthly newsletters and important information.

Religious Service Requirement. Dalet, Hay and Bar/Bat Mitzvah classes are required to attend ten (10) Shabbat services at Temple Shalom** during the school year. Failure will prevent a promotion.  **The younger grades are encouraged to  attend at least five (5) and does not affect promotion.

 Proficiency testing required before promotion to the Bar/Bat Mitzvah Class.

 Students are expected to have good behavior at all times.     Please refer to page 3 of Handbook

Parents are responsible for at least one (1) Oneg and two (2) Sunday morning snack dates.

Temple Shalom Tzedakah Program. Every family to donate ten ( 10 ) non-perishable food items to be donated to local food bank
